Osteopathy defines the philosophy of physicians who are more holistically oriented, taking into account the whole person and their surroundings to best diagnose and treat medical conditions. Osteopaths have all the skills of an MD and a chiropractor combined. They can do surgery and prescribe medicines as well as perform manipulations. They believe that the outer (musculo-skeletal) body affects the inner (organs) body and vice versa through a complex neural pathway that can be accessed and used to bring about balance and health.
